Greetings I-LYA Clubs & Junior Sailors!

We are so excited that summer is on its way and we are gearing up for Fun in 09-the 54th Annual I-LYA Junior Bay Week at Put-in-Bay. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. Junior Bay Week will run Sunday, July 19 thru Thursday, July 23 with checkout Friday morning, July 24, 2009.

All team registration information is available below. Eligibility requirements are clearly spelled out in the Notice of Race and the General Information sheet.
Changes for this year were highlighted in the Junior Chair Letter mailed in early March. Please refer to the Events Schedule when making your vacation and housing plans.

All forms and payment should be received no later than Wednesday, July 1, 2009. Checks should be made payable to I-LYA 2009.

As described in the Notice of Race, each I-LYA Club is permitted to send nine (9) competitors to this year's event (all classes combined). Clubs may petition for additional competitors as described below.

• Entry Forms: Thistle/420/Laser - 2009 Chubb Junior Sailing Championship Entry Form (Please send 2 copies)
   or
  Laser Radial - 2009 I-LYA Laser Radial Entry Form
• U.S. Sailing/I-LYA Medical Consent Form (Please send 3 copies) Includes Authorization for Emergency Medical Treatment, Medical Information, Waiver, and Parent/Guardian signature.
• Depiction Release Signed by both competitor and parent/guardian.
• Rules of Conduct Acknowledgement Form Signed by both competitor and parent/guardian.
• Competitor's Sailing Resume For sailors participating in their first Junior Bay Week.
• Copy of participant's Birth Certificate. Does not need to be a certified copy.
• Copy of participant's current U.S. Sailing Membership card. If card is unavailable, please verify membership online at ussailing.org and print and send the verification page.

Additional Competitors:
If your Club would like to petition additional competitors, you will also need to fill out the Additional Competitor Petition and mail it with all the forms listed above and payment for each additional competitor. Applications for additional competitors will be accepted on a first received basis and, consistent with past practice, priority will be given to Sears teams.

The following information is important for Team Liaisons & Chaperones. Please download, review and share with all club support personnel and parents:

• Club Personnel Form (Team Liaison, Parents of the Day, Safety, Coaching, etc.) This form must be turned in at registration on Sunday, July 19.
